Focused Postpartum Care Project (Focused-PPC)
Focused Postpartum Care (Focused-PPC) is an integrated postpartum care, education, and support model for women after childbirth. The Focused-PPC model was designed to improve the health of women and to reduce maternal morbidity and mortality. The Focused-PPC model of care includes:
- More frequent contact with healthcare team/providers
- Extended period of care beyond 6 weeks, up to 12 months postpartum
- Standardized postpartum education
- Group setting and peer support
